Washington State University
At Alpha Delta Pi, we are a sisterhood of friends, a family of individuals, and a home away from home. We embrace every woman's uniqueness, we encourage and support each other's goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women.
Our sisters exemplify vibrant character, inspiring leadership, devoted scholarship, and courageous authenticity. These attributes are the four cornerstones of our sisterhood. Within each and every Alpha Delta Pi member, you will find a friend to laugh with, learn from, and lean on. However, ADPi is more than just a group of sincere, intelligent, beautiful, and empowering women; it is also a comfortable environment that encourages diversity, growth, and the foundational values of Alpha Delta Pi.
Our open motto, “We Live For Each Other,” truly expresses the sisterhood shared between every Alpha Delta Pi. Each member strives to be the best student, friend, family member, and sister while also encouraging other members to reach their full potential. This chapter provides opportunity and encouragement for our members, and because of this, we are outstanding leaders, scholars, and volunteers throughout Washington State University’s campus and in the Pullman community.
